Enjoy improved continuity of care with your chosen practice and benefit from tailored healthcare services designed to meet your individual needs.

MyMedicare benefits include:

  • Longer Telehealth Consultations: Patients who register with MyMedicare can access longer Medicare-funded telehealth consultations, including bulk-billed telehealth appointments for children under 16 and Commonwealth concession cardholders.

  • Better Chronic Condition Management: Patients with chronic conditions may receive better-coordinated care, especially those who frequently visit hospitals. This includes tailored care plans from their GP and primary care teams.

  • Aged Care Support: Residents in aged care homes benefit from more regular GP visits and better care planning, supporting proactive healthcare delivery in these settings.

  • Improved Relationship with Healthcare Providers: Registering formally connects patients with their preferred GP and practice, improving communication and the quality of care by ensuring healthcare providers have a better understanding of each patient’s needs and history.

  • Access to Additional Health Services: By registering, patients may become eligible for other specific healthcare initiatives as they are rolled out, such as programs targeting people in rural areas or those experiencing hardship.
